The business was bought in 1972 after the owners, Mr and Mrs Singer, moved to Dartmouth from Berkshire. The original Fairfax House Estate Agency office with its impressive bay windows and corner location was acquired and in 1984 the business was passed into the capable hands of their daughter Lesley who had joined the firm four years earlier. Lesley was made a partner and fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents in January 1989 and her husband Chris was made a full partner in June 2007.

Singer & Singer are the oldest established Estate Agents in Dartmouth and remain an independent family firm.
